About me.

I grew up riding my bike to the library with my dad and siblings. I loved reading and writing. And that was before the internet and even before I knew that I could turn this hobby into a job.

For a while, I thought journalism was my path, so I majored in it. Turns out, the world had other plans for me. Over time, my passion to write taught me many things along the way: creativity, strategy, analytics. Then, I didn’t just want to write. I wanted answers. I wanted to measure everything. Did this concept work? Why did it land? How do I make it better? And better for the next time after that.

One thing I learned as a kid reading is still the same belief I hold now: Stories matter. And when they’re done right, it moves people.

Work-wise

  • Life-long learner – I don’t know it all, but I’m happy to learn and grow (in my career and as a human being).

  • Problem solver – If I need to, I’ll exhaust my resources to “figure it out on my own” (as much as I can) before reaching out for help.

  • Positive Patty – I personally think this is a key part of being a good team player and a leader.

  • Get-it-done attitude – I’m always thinking of how we can make things better, more effective, more efficient.

  • Accountable - I take full ownership of my work - the good and the bad.

Outside of corporate comms, I will still freelance write. Because I genuinely love writing. Just "old-fashioned" words doing what they’re meant to do. (I think I can call it old-fashioned now, right?)
